Full course description
The Starting a Farm short course is for aspiring and beginning farmers who are starting a farm business in Florida. The course covers farming goals; assessing your readiness and resources available; selecting suitable enterprises; business structures, registration, and regulations; and accessing land and financing. The course has two parts: (1) online activities & materials, August 14th to 27th, and (2) a live webinar on August 28th, 10:00 AM to noon. Instructors are from UF/IFAS Extension, the Small Business Development Center, and Farm Credit of Florida.
